Configuring Agent for Flight

Once you click "start flight" the Agent should start. Open the Agent and begin setting up your flight in sim. There are some critical parameters in your flight planning phases that you need to be aware of.

OpenSky uses a strict method of scanning the aircraft being used. You cannot alias aircraft in OpenSky. Future plans to alias like models are in phases of discussion.

These elements are required in order to start the flight:

  1. Fuel Quantity

  2. Payload Weight

  3. Aircraft Model Matching

  4. Crash detection, no unlimited fuel and slew mode disabled

  5. Location must be at the ICAO the aircraft is located at in OpenSky

You are required to load at least the amount of payload the job contains, and the amount of fuel you purchased. Any fuel loaded beyond the original purchase will be billed to the user and added to the ground handling time.

Once all of the elements are checked green, you will be able to start the flight.

Note that you will incur ground handling based on your fuel and payload. Once you begin tracking, you can skip this but it will be added to the end of your flight so plan accordingly.

Keep in mind, the more complex the addon, the harder it is for OpenSky to inject weights and fuel. If you notice the plane does not allow automatic loading, that is to your benefit. Unfortunately, many complex planes have payload stations and coding that does not allow seamless interface.
