Aircraft Moderation

New plane releases aren't automatically ported in to OpenSky, it takes a user with the model installed in their simulator in order to do this.

Below you will see the steps on how to complete this quick and easy process.

  1. Load your sim with the desired plane. The plane can be parked engines off, or running.

  2. Start the OpenSky Agent. In the icon tray, right click on the Agent, and select "Aircraft Types".

  3. If your Agent is configured to connect to the correct simulator, click "Add". This will result in a read of the in sim aircraft, and import the pertinent data needed for OpenSky.

  4. The following elements of data require manual user input. Please enter these to the best of your ability.

Important! In most cases, the "fuel type override" should be set to "NotUsed". If you encounter an issue where the default value imported from the sim was incorrect, please notify us in Discord.

If all required data fields were completed, you can click save and the aircraft will be pending moderation. The staff will take a look at the entry and make sure it conforms to the real world specs and the data entered is accurate. Once reviewed and approved, the aircraft will be ready to be purchased in OpenSky!
